Purpose of Position

The Center for Innovation in STEM Education (CISE) seeks interns for the CSUDH Fabrication Lab. The position is a part-time, paid internship. Our goal is to provide our intern with the real-life experience necessary to execute and manage projects that utilize fabrication technology with the intent of promoting the development of new knowledge and research with an emphasis on serving communities that are underrepresented in STEM disciplines.

The CSUDH Fab Lab project is at the forefront of innovative STEM education. Our fleet of five mobile fabrication laboratories is used by K-16 students and teachers, pre-service STEM teachers, CSUDH faculty, and community members. We aim to provide participants with tangible STEM applications to investigate and solve real-world challenges; teach students to develop 21st-century skills through project-based learning; promote equity within the Southern California region, and be a model for sustainable innovation in K-16 STEM education.
