About the CSUDH Foundation
The California State University, Dominguez Hills Foundation was incorporated in 1968 as a partner of the University to provide services and develop and enhance programs that are an integral part of the University's educational mission. CSU Dominguez Hills is a highly diverse, metropolitan university primarily serving the South Bay area of Los Angeles County. Established in 1960, CSU Dominguez Hills is one of the 23 campuses that comprise the California State University system.

About the Position

CSI3 Student Assistants are an integral part of our team. Student Assistants provide CSI3 Team Members with different types of support to help us carry our forth our mission of serving K-12 students, CSUDH students, and the community at large. 

Employment at the Foundation is on an at-will basis and can be terminated by either an employee or the Foundation at any time with or without cause or advance notice. Permanent status can neither be obtained nor granted. 

  • Answer phones, respond to emails and other office-related tasks like inputting data or research
  • Assist with recruitment activities by assisting the team to develop social media campaigns and recruitment materials; have the ability to conduct brief  presentations during classroom presentations or fairs
  • Assist with special events by preparing sign-in sheets, taking attendance, sending reminders, RSVPs intake, follow-up, etc.
  • Assist with data entry and maintain databases current 
  • Assist coordinators with information sessions/interviews scheduling
  • Participate in weekly team meetings  
  • Submit a daily summary report of daily duties
Education and/or Experience
  • ​Must be a current California State University Dominguez Hills student.
  • Customer service experience preferred
  • Proficiency with Zoom 
  • Proficiency with Google Suite (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.)
  • Proficiency with MS Suite (Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Proficiency with social media platforms (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, etc.)
  • Well organized and detail-oriented
  • Effective communicator (verbal, written)
  • Seeking a highly-motivated team player who is ready to share ideas and is enthusiastic about serving others
  • Be available to work 15-20 hours per week (have the ability to be flexible for special events)
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize objectives to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently
Work Environment

Student employees in this position work primarily indoors on campus at CSUDH, however, some grants/contracts require off-site work. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
